Welcome to Usha Gap, one of Yorkshire's finest campsites

Usha gap campsite is situated near the beautiful village of Muker on Usha Gap Farm. This working farm is set in one of the most beautiful areas in Yorkshire, Swaledale. The campsite is run by Philip and Louise Metcalfe, their two sons Ben and James and their cute Jack Russell dog Eddie. We’re not far from the ButterTubs Pass which was used for the first stage of Le tour de France in 2014, so, many cyclists come to give it a go.

The Campsite

The campsite is divided into two, our small field is next to a running beck, and the larger field is situated next to the farm with a view of Kisdon hill, both are beautiful and peaceful setting in which to relax and enjoy your camping holiday in beautiful Swaledale.

Usha Gap Cottage

Usha Gap Cottage promises to be the perfect retreat for those who enjoy the outdoor life. The cottage commands spectacular views over Swaledale from front and rear with a delightful, paved patio overlooking the garden and open countryside beyond.

Glamping Cowus

Coming soon – We are going to make this Cowus into a Glamping Cowus. It will be able to sleep 4 people. As you can see the views from the Cowus will be amazing. Imagine sitting outside with food, drink, peace and quiet looking down at the view to Muker.

“A lovely friendly welcome, we were able to choose our own pitch. Wifi was available and they also had fire pits. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the showers were not available, but there were toilets. A great place to go to if you fancy peace and quiet and great walks. We’re off back next weekend!”
